What We Do
& How we Do It

Pain Management
We offer a multidisciplinary approach to pain management with all treatments concentrating on the release of soft tissue in the body in order to realign the skeleton, improve posture and reduce pain levels. We also specialise in releasing trapped nerves, fascia release and the treatment of back and sciatic pain using the following techniques:

Kinetic Chain Release - Using specific protocols and sequences created by Scottish Physiotherapist Hugh Gilbert, consisting of proven and medically accepted components to realign the body and create balance. This often results in the reduction or resolution of pain.
Connective Tissue (Fascia) Release - When Fascia is restricted or dehydrated it can impair your range of movement and cause pain. Stiff areas or trigger points are thought to limit muscle and joint movement. By applying light pressure to these areas, we can hydrate and release Fascia restrictions; creating the best environment for the body to heal.
The Emmett Technique - A unique form of body relaxation therapy involving light finger pressure at specific points on the body to trigger a response in the soft tissue. We combine this with the other body work modalities to improve posture and ease restrictions to increase the range of movement in the body.
Kinesiology - This globally recognised technique utilises muscle testing to identify areas of energy and muscular imbalance in the body. Once identified, these are often corrected by working on the corresponding spinal reflexes, Neuro-lymphatic points, Neuro-vascular points and the meridians (energy routes) of the body.
All treatments are fully clothed and consist of assessment and re-assessment followed by gentle stretches and mobilisations throughout the whole body, not just in the area where you experience pain. This can be followed by injury specific techniques to areas of localised pain.
Emotional Therapy
The decision to attend therapy sessions can be very daunting at first, though often, the decision to take that first step can be the hardest part of the process. You do not have to explain your issues in great detail to benefit from this work. Using a combination of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Indigenous techniques, taught to Mike by a native Hawaiian healer, this work concentrates on the effects of holding onto Anger, Sadness, Fear, Hurt, Guilt, Fear of Failure, Fear of Rejection and feelings of being unworthy.
